The first school building to reopen its doors in the historic center of L’Aquila after the tragic earthquake of 2009. This religious institute implements the best technology while keeping alive the memory and history of the original structure. The structure is made up of two wings with a centrally located element called “telescope” which serves as the entrance and distribution area. There is a large window facing the historic city walls from which one can enjoy a panorama of the hilly landscape beyond Porta Leone. In addition to enhancing the space, the full-height windows provide ample natural light – a distinguishing characteristic of the building.
