Nyra, Atlas Concorde’s new collection dedicated to well-being

    1. The collaboration between Alberto Apostoli and Atlas Concorde has been ongoing for several years, resulting in numerous realised projects. This year’s collection is the outcome of a focused analysis of the sector, its evolution, and the related design requirements. In brief, what were the key factors that shaped its development, and which market demand does the collection address?

Nyra is a stone that speaks a clearly defined language: that of wellbeing. As a result, every aspect of it – from the initial concept to the development process – was conceived with this objective in mind.
Nyra also responds to a clear market need. On one hand, we are seeing sustained growth in the wellness sector and in architecture increasingly oriented towards perceptual wellbeing; on the other, there is a growing demand for materials capable of combining high technical performance with aesthetic balance.

Nyra is not inspired by any existing natural stone; it is an original graphic creation designed to convey comfort, light and a sense of naturalness, while fully retaining the versatility that is characteristic of ceramic materials. It has been conceived to enhance spatial quality, heighten sensory experience, and provide designers with a reliable, comprehensive and highly versatile material.

    1. Nyra, designed by Alberto Apostoli, lends its name to the new Nyra World project, dedicated to the world of stone and launched by Atlas Concorde on the occasion of Cersaie 2025. Why was Nyra chosen as the founding collection for the official launch of Nyra World?

Nyra World was conceived to bring together all new stone-inspired collections within a shared vision. It is a project that combines creative research with a strong focus on wellbeing, interpreted in different ways from one collection to the next.
The first collection to inaugurate this new chapter for Atlas Concorde is Nyra, developed through in-house research and in close collaboration with architect Alberto Apostoli. Rather than drawing inspiration from a specific natural stone, it introduces an entirely new material expression, characterised by an original graphic language and conceived to convey a sense of balance and comfort.
The result is a contemporary surface shaped by experimentation, technical expertise and creative freedom.

    1. AtlasConcorde_NyraWith Nyra, you introduce the first collection in your portfolio entirely devoted to wellness. How did the expertise of Atlas Concorde, a global leader in ceramics, come together with that of Alberto Apostoli, one of the foremost voices in Wellness Architecture?

From the very first stages of the project, a focus on wellbeing shaped Atlas Concorde’s creative process, fostering a deeply collaborative partnership. Nyra emerged from this shared vision: a collection that does more than echo nature – it reinterprets it, offering a more sensory, mindful, and human experience of ceramic stone.

    1. AtlasConcorde_Nyra HeroWhat are the intended applications of Nyra?

Nyra has been designed for a wide range of applications, including residential, hospitality, wellness centres, retail and contract environments.

    1. AtlasConcorde_Nyra MeteorNyraNyra acts as a spokesperson for a sense of wellbeing and harmony with nature. How has this inclination been translated into tangible design choices?

In Nyra, wellbeing is not a simple decorative effect, but the result of a clear design logic: surfaces that are soft both visually and to the touch, carefully calibrated graphic variations that create visual order, and a colour palette strongly oriented towards warm and neutral tones. Within Nyra, the biophilic dimension is grounded in sensory comfort and perceptual quality.

    1. Beyond balance with nature, Nyra also establishes a strong connection with the individual. How is this relationship between wellbeing, materiality and the user expressed within the collection?

The concept of wellbeing is intrinsically linked to that of the individual, understood as the person who inhabits and experiences the space.
Nyra operates on the most intimate dimension of material experience: the softness of soft-touch surfaces, graphic regularity and diffused light generate an immediate sense of calm and protection. It is a material that reduces visual stress, facilitates spatial perception and enhances the individual’s relationship with their surroundings. In other words, Nyra makes spaces more liveable, more human and more sensitive.

    1. AtlasConcorde_Nyra HaySeven distinctive shades and multiple 3D textures for cladding and decorative applications make Nyra a broad and highly articulated proposal. What strategic considerations led to the decision to introduce such a varied and complex collection to the market?

Nyra is not simply a collection; it is a complete design system, conceived to create coherent, integrated and immersive spaces.
Thanks to the breadth and depth of the range – spanning interior surfaces, 3D structures, outdoor finishes and large-format slabs – Nyra enables the creation of fully resolved environments in which every surface speaks the same language.
In this sense, Nyra offers a fully realised interpretation of the One Space concept: a single, continuous environment in which stone becomes the aesthetic thread capable of connecting indoor and outdoor areas, walls, floors and furnishings, giving rise to wellness-focused spaces with a strong, cohesive identity.
It is a transversal collection that adapts to every design requirement, shaping integrated, consistent and tailor-made environments.

    1. AtlasConcorde_Nyra OpusDeocrSunlightNyra brings together Atlas Concorde’s manufacturing expertise and its key technologies. Could you describe these in detail?

The Nyra collection stands out for its completeness and versatility. At the heart of the range is our patented Sensitech finish, which combines excellent slip resistance with a pleasantly tactile surface, while also ensuring ease of cleaning and maintenance. The collection offers a wide variety of formats – reaching heights of up to 3.20 metres – and multiple finishes, making it suitable for every application, from interiors and exteriors to façades and bespoke furnishing solutions.
Finally, the innovative ID-Skin technology works on the surface itself, enhancing even the finest details of the material, elevating its aesthetic quality and lending spaces a distinctive and refined character.

    1. Nyra embodies the principles of Wellness Architecture, translating the concept of wellbeing into both contract and residential contexts. Where do these principles converge with the values developed through more than fifty years of Atlas Concorde’s experience?

Design quality, aesthetic research, attention to individual wellbeing and a strong sense of environmental responsibility. Nyra is a collection that brings together innovation and design culture, offering a contemporary interpretation of stone that enhances spaces while respecting resources. In this sense, Nyra represents the natural evolution of the path Atlas Concorde has pursued for decades: creating surfaces that do not merely define environments, but actively improve them.
