Alberto Apostoli presents “Elogio della Spa” (“In Praise of the Spa”) at the InOut Fair in Rimini
The event is scheduled for 8 October at 2:30 pm at the InOut Arena
Following the 2024 edition, which welcomed 70,000 sector professionals from the tourism and hospitality industries – including hoteliers, holiday village operators, transport providers, regional representatives, territorial promotion bodies, and international tourism organisations – the InOut Fair will once again provide a prestigious stage for the presentation of “Elogio della Spa” (“In Praise of the Spa”). The volume will be introduced to a highly qualified audience with a strong interest in wellbeing and architecture applied to the tourism sector.
“Wellbeing has become an integral part of our way of life and is deeply connected to the highest concepts of sustainability,” explains Alberto Apostoli. “Since places dedicated to wellbeing play an indisputable social role, given their effect on both individual and societal balance, their creation transcends traditional architecture and takes on a greater, in some ways symbolic and spiritual, value”.
The book is not simply a study of architecture, but a true philosophical manifesto exploring the cultural, spiritual, and sociological role of spas in the contemporary world. The founder of Studio Apostoli has created a treatise that spans sociology and the history of cultures, ranging from East to West, while analysing the function and impact of modern wellbeing facilities. At the heart of this cultural journey lies the human being, for whom Apostoli has developed a new system of values. In this vision, the spa plays an active role in enhancing psycho-physical balance and quality of life, in a process that ultimately benefits humanity as a whole.
The presentation will take place on 8 October at 2:30 pm at the InOut Arena (InOut – The Hospitality Community, Rimini).
