Apostoli at the National Forum on Thermalism in Algeria
On 26 and 27 October, in Guelma, Apostoli will present the Italian experience of thermalism to Algerian institutions and industry professionals: a new milestone in the Verona-based firm’s internationalisation journey.
Entitled «Towards an Algerian Thermal Destination – Heritage, Health and Innovation», the National Forum on Thermalism, organised by the Algerian Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, is scheduled for 26 and 27 October in the wilaya (province) of Guelma, one of the country’s main thermal areas. The aim is to lay the foundations for an integrated national strategy for the sector.
The international experts invited include Gianluca Rossin, Associate Partner at Apostoli Group, and Michele Cerqua, General Partner at Primo Capital. Their presentation, «The Italian Experience of Thermalism: The Integration of Thermal Spas into Health, Wellbeing and Tourism Offerings», will offer an opportunity for in-depth discussion and exchange on the forum’s two central themes: thermal design and investment.
The presentation will focus on the role of thermal resources in developing integrated, economically sustainable destinations capable of creating value for the surrounding region. The talk will feature five case studies from Italy and abroad, illustrating different ways of making the most of thermal waters. Each will be analysed not only as a project and investment opportunity, but also as a driver of local development. The Italian experience will thus serve to present a thermal model deeply rooted in place and in its distinctive character, and to show how the specific qualities of the Algerian landscape can give rise to destinations that are truly one of a kind.
«Algeria has extraordinary thermal resources. Our experience teaches us that value is created when, as architects, we know how to transform the element of water into destinations and experiences. This is why, in Guelma, we are bringing not just a list of projects, but a method for developing them together with institutions and investors», says Gianluca Rossin.
This participation comes at a time of growth for Apostoli. The group, led by architect Alberto Apostoli, has placed internationalisation at the heart of its strategy for the coming decade, with the ambition of tripling its turnover and generating two-thirds of it abroad.
