Agrirelais Principe SPA

When the owners of Agrirelais Principe SPA made the decision to create a spa and wellness center with 7 themed suites, they planned to place it in an area that was almost completely destroyed, but with a rich history behind it. In fact, the Rizzo family’s farm was once a 16th-century lookout, which would turn into a Jesuit convent after two centuries, and eventually be replaced by a fortified farmhouse.

Today the agrirelais “Principe” SPA with 40 rooms is an important part of the Sicilian gastronomic route, known for its organic products and in particular for the production of the aromatic and fragrant Olive Oil. Creating a SPA in a place with such a strong identity required from Studio Apostoli a holistic and empathic approach (an approach for which our projects are renowned).

“The SPA is similar to a late Baroque chapel, (…) I decided to use a variety of design ideas that combine layouts, materials and sensory atmospheres in a relatively compact space,” says Apostoli “In each place guests may find something different or unexpected.”
