Studio Apostoli signs the SPA of the new Terme di Grado
The refurbishment of the historic Friulian SPA center is underway, which will host a state-of-the-art wellness center curated by Studio Apostoli.
The construction and redevelopment works of the new Terme di Grado have officially begun, a state-of-the-art and strategic thermal center for the tourist revival of the Friulian city, recognized as a spa resort since the early 1800s. The project, supported by the regional PromoTurismoFVG and whose construction management is carried out by Archest in collaboration with construction companies, design and engineering firms, includes the complete restyling of the wellness center, entrusted to Studio Apostoli.
Located on the first floor, it will be organized in two macro-sections: the fitness and beauty area, complete with cabins for massages and beauty and body care treatments, will occupy approximately 500 square meters; the Wellness area, on the other hand, will be developed for a total of about 650 square meters.
The latter is defined by an envelope with large windows and overlooks a green terrace, creating a fluid environment in which the boundary between indoor and outdoor is imperceptible. For its design, Alberto Apostoli was inspired by the territory and chose the element of water as the first of the four thematic areas, which is then declined in wet treatments including iodine inhalations, emotional showers, hammam and Roman bath. It continues with the air element, which develops outside with relaxation areas and bistros; and fire, with different types of saunas inspired by Finnish, Japanese and Central European cultures, offered both indoors and on the terrace. Finally, the path ends with the earth element, with spaces dedicated to individual relaxation.
Once completed – with an expected closure of works in the next three years -, the new Terme di Grado will cover a total area of about 32,000 square meters and will offer Italian and foreign guests a center of excellence, with a panoramic view of the coast and the sea. .
