Living, working, studying, having fun, relaxing are essential activities in everyone’s life and the environment around us makes a difference. This is where the idea of olfactory scenography comes from: to create an environment that is comfortable and at the same time stimulating, which reflects people’s needs, with psycho-physical well-being as the main goal.

ARCHITECTURE WITH AN ADDITIONAL SENSE

Think of the smell of your favourite dessert, the smell of the house where you grew up, the smell of your grandmother’s dress or the smell of the skin of a special person: this is the charm of the perfume and its evocative power that stimulate the memory as in a dèjà vu, able to bring to mind more remote sensations and memories.
The alchemist perfumer investigates, asks, analyses and deepens every apparently hidden sensation of everyone who desires a sartorial perfume.
My art as a Fragrance Designer is to shape the material and give each scented note an original touch, thanks to the unique gift of being able to transform a set of elements into a perfume that inebriates, fascinates and excites, created specifically for each environment.
A little bit of magic is added to art, because at the very moment of creation I blend with the bouquet a mix of emotions and feelings: inside each of my perfumes there are the sensations I felt entering that place and experiencing it, there is the magic of the final result, something unique and rare.
I elaborate my creations just as a painter gives life to his canvas, with small touches, trying, correcting, changing with constancy and patience, until I compose the right perfume that magically fills a place and highlights its character and gives a unique and personal olfactory emotion to those who enter it.
Through my olfactory creations I want to tell stories, emphasize ideals, give unique moments, which will be impressed forever in the memory as well as the stay in that place, because their evocative power calls to mind distant memories and experienced emotions. Speaking without words.
Different olfactory suggestions for different spas.
For each of these spas designed by Architect Apostoli, I imagined the fragrance that would underline their character and give wellbeing to those who live them.
In an environment expressing balance and sobriety, the natural impact of wood is emphasised by a hint of fresh bergamot, intriguing green tea and an enveloping bottom of precious woods and tonka bean.
The strength of the green leaves of geranium blended with the touch of sage and citrus fruits for an undertone which is both relaxing and energizing.
I imagine an atmosphere that infuses relax, made of bergamot and sea salts, with a warm heart of spices and jasmine flowers, made even more refined by an accord of precious woods and white musk.
A pampering in a nest of wellness needs a special fragrance: a slightly citrusy hint that gives way to heliotrope flowers, ending up in the sensual warmth of woods and Indian amber.
Harmony and balance for this blue background which we highlight with a bouquet of citrus fruits, a spicy touch of cinnamon that blends sweetly with notes of neroli and vanilla.
A linear, clean and tidy environment that needs a fragrance that highlights the feeling of purity: an accord of sea weeds and sea salts, with a soft heart of lily of the valley and lotus flowers, lightly warmed by oak wood.
I would emphasize this natural, enchanting atmosphere, like a refuge under the trees, with an aromatic touch of eucalyptus and basil together with the freshness of citrus fruits, a small touch of white flowers in the heart and a warm accord of incense wood at the bottom.
Yesterday the ancient craft of the master perfumer, today the precious vocation of Fragrance Designer.
This is Claudia Scattolini: taste and Italian know-how, for the long family tradition of pharmacists, a good French savoir faire, learned at ISIPCA (Versailles, France), the school of Guerlain.
Claudia Scattolini was born in 1973 in Peschiera del Garda.
After graduating in Pharmacy (University of Ferrara), she specialized in perfumery, first Italian woman, at EFCM, international master at ISIPCA (Versailles, France), International reference for perfumery and cosmetics.
Back in Italy, she got an MBM at the Faculty of Economics of Padua University and began to collaborate with laboratories and companies in the cosmetics and perfumery field.
In 2007 she founded the company Fragrance Designer, specialized in the production of perfumes and room fragrances, private labels and olfactory scenography.
She also creates and commercializes fragrance diffusers labeled Fragrance Designer Diffuser and Qi, achieving endorsement from concept stores like Corso Como 10 (Milan) and famous designers and architects such as Giugiaro who dedicated to Claudia an entire page of its ” Annual 2010″ , pointing to the figure of the Fragrance designers as an important new profession in architecture.
In 2012 she launched her own line of eau de parfum that has been successful even in US and Dubai.
In 2014/15 she became professor at the Padua University Faculty of Pharmacy (course of perfumery), IED Rome (marketing of perfume as a luxury product) and Istituto Agrario San Michele (perfumes of grappa).
